Every volunteer makes an impact on the entire school community.  There are many ways to volunteer and get involved.  All types of talents and gifts of time are needed.  There is something for EVERYONE!!!
Please take a look at the list below to see where you can help.  If you have any questions about volunteering or the PTA please contact the PTA Board at henderson.nisd.pta@gmail.com or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/HendersonPTA
How can you help?
  • Cafeteria Volunteer
One hour shift to assist with lunchroom duties.  Duties include helping children open lunch items, retrieving items from the kitchen and keeping the general noise level down.  ***School personnel handles behavior issues**
  • PAL's (Parents Assisting in Learning)
These volunteers help teachers in the resource room by making copies, laminating, cutting, stapling and finishing other special request items.  This allows teachers more time in the classrooms!
  • Parent's Night Out-
A night where parents can drop off their children at school and take time for themselves.  This year it will be in December to assist parents with Christmas shopping!  We need adults and teenagers as volunteers to help with the activities for the children.
Students run this fun event during school hours.  We need volunteers to mark their laps and to help handing out snacks/water
  • Ranger Hoe Down
The Ranger Hoe Down is a school dance event hosted in April from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  This is PTA's Spring fundraiser that gives back to our students before the year takes full speed.  All talents are needed leading up to the event.  A planning committee is needed to help gather ideas, plan and execute the event.
